A little travel diary

October 17, 2011

Ok so maybe this is a big travel diary…

My Nikon camera came out of hiding for the trip to NYC . I couldn’t have felt more right running all over the city with camera in one hand and coffee in the other. Lucky for you, the images are better than most of my lovely cell phone pictures you’ll normally see on here. (ok, maybe there is one or two hiding in this post).

Where we ate: (and HIGHLY recommend! I couldn’t include every place, just our favorites made the list.)

Magnolia’s Bakery, Grand Central Station: a quick latte and brownie on the run

Dean & Deluca, Soho: Caprese Panini

Billy’s Bakery, Nolita: Raspberry Bar and Chocolate Cheesecake

OTTO Pizzeria, Greenwich Village: Pasta Norma (Here’s where I confess I had dinner two seats away from Emma Stone!!)

Ferrara Bakery, Little Italy

Shake Shack, Madison Square Park: Shack Burger and Fries

Things we did:

Rode the Staten Island Ferry ( I couldn’t get enough of this little guy)

Cheered at Good Morning America (Mom met the whole cast, she couldn’t have been more giddy with excitement)

Saw the bright lights of Times Square &&

Watched the Lion King!!

Made a little purchase at, Kate Spade NY in NY. Heaven.

Where we stayed:

The Roosevelt Hotel

Wow. I’m reliving the trip big time. Guess it’s time to go back!

Yay!!! A story in pictures . . . . one of my faves! The whole trip looks like amazing fun. I love the scarf and jacket you wore at Ferrara Bakery- too cute! And “Too much Gotham last night” for do not disturb signs has got to be one coolest ideas ever. Would love to have one of those signs. 😉

    Much love,
    V
